Alexander College
Alexander College is a private post-secondary institution founded in 2006 in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. Named after Sir Alexander Mackenzie — the celebrated Scottish-Canadian explorer — it was established to provide accessible, high-quality university-transfer education for domestic and international students. The college is accredited by the BC Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Training and participates fully in the British Columbia Transfer System (BCCAT), enabling seamless credit transfer to universities across the province.
The institution operates two campuses: the primary Burnaby Campus at 4805 Kingsway — opened in fall 2021 across from Metropolis at Metrotown — and the Vancouver Downtown Campus at 570 Dunsmuir Street, which opened in January 2025. Both campuses are equipped with science laboratories, libraries, writing centres, and modern collaborative spaces designed to support first- and second-year university-level study.
Alexander College offers four academic term intakes per year (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer) and delivers over 140 university-level courses. Core academic pathways include the Associate of Arts degree with nine concentrations (Business, Psychology, International Relations, Economics, and others), the Associate of Science degree with concentrations in Mathematics and Computer Science, and the University Transfer Program that prepares students for transfer to institutions such as the University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University, Thompson Rivers University, and Kwantlen Polytechnic University.
