Constructor University
Constructor University is a private, English-language research university in Bremen, Germany. Established in 1999 as International University Bremen, it later became Jacobs University Bremen, and was rebranded as Constructor University in November 2022 after the Constructor Group took majority ownership. The university operates a 340,000 m² residential campus in the Vegesack district of Bremen and welcomes students from over 110 countries — making it one of the most internationally diverse universities in Germany.
The university is organized into three schools: School of Business, Social & Decision Sciences; School of Computer Science & Engineering; and School of Science. All academic programs are taught in English, with Bachelor degrees structured around the European 3-year model and Master degrees as 2-year programs.
Constructor University is consistently ranked Germany's #1 private research university by Times Higher Education, and placed in the 401-500 band globally in the THE 2024 World University Rankings.
