Strate School of Design
Strate School of Design is a private design school founded in 1993 by Jean-René Talopp in Sèvres, on the western edge of Paris. The school holds the French state-recognised Niveau 7 (Bac+5) diploma in industrial design and ranks in the QS Top 7 of French design schools (QS 2025). Strate is Qualiopi-certified and a member of the Carnot Institute network.
The flagship 5-year Industrial Design programme branches into five streams from Year 3 onwards: Product Design, Transportation Design, Mobility Design, Interaction & UX/UI Design, and Space & Service Design. A new 100% English-taught Industrial Design class launched in 2026 alongside the French-language streams.
Strate's English-taught Master programmes — Master Transportation Design and Master Design Transitions — recruit Bachelor-level graduates from any field for two-year specialisations. The school maintains corporate partnerships with Renault, L'Oréal, Carrefour, Centrale Supélec, ESSEC Business School and Sciences Po Paris.
