The Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) was established in 2021 through the merger of Athlone Institute of Technology and Limerick Institute of Technology. It is one of Ireland's newest and most innovative universities, with campuses in Athlone, Limerick, Clonmel, Thurles, and Ennis.
