University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) Cyprus
University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) Cyprus is the first UK branch campus in Cyprus. It opened in 2012 as a branch of UCLan in Preston, England (renamed University of Lancashire in 2025). UCLan Cyprus is located at 12-14 University Avenue, Pyla, 7080 Larnaka, and is licensed by the Cyprus Ministry of Education, Culture, Sport and Youth.
The university operates four schools — School of Business and Management, School of Sciences, School of Law, and School of Arts, Media and Communication — plus the Institute of Professional Studies and The Language Academy. All degrees are awarded by UCLan in the UK, giving graduates a British qualification while studying in Cyprus.
The Pyla campus features specialised laboratories, a library, a fitness centre, and on-campus student accommodation. Programmes are taught entirely in English and follow the UK academic model. Popular courses include LLB Bachelor of Laws, BSc Psychology, BEng Computer Engineering, BSc Sport and Exercise Science, and the MBA.
