University of Wollongong Malaysia
University of Wollongong Malaysia (UOW Malaysia) is a private university in Shah Alam, Greater Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The institution traces its roots to 1983 as Kolej Damansara Utama (KDU), one of the first private colleges in Malaysia to have its own purpose-built campus. In 1984 it pioneered Malaysia's first overseas twinning programme with Middlesex Polytechnic. It achieved university college status in November 2010 and full university status in 2023.
In September 2019, UOW Global Enterprises — a subsidiary of University of Wollongong Australia — acquired KDU, integrating the Malaysian campuses into the UOW global network alongside campuses in Australia, Dubai, and Hong Kong.
The main Glenmarie Campus is in Utropolis Shah Alam, with additional campuses in George Town and Batu Kawan in Penang. Programmes span Business, Built Environment, Communication & Creative Arts, Computing & Creative Media, Engineering, Hospitality/Tourism/Culinary Arts, Health Science, Law, Pre-University Studies, and Postgraduate Studies.
