University of Wyoming
The University of Wyoming is a public land-grant research university founded in 1886 and located in Laramie, Wyoming. As the only four-year university in the state, UW holds R1 status — Doctoral Universities with Very High Research Activity. It enrolls over 10,800 students across 7 colleges and offers more than 120 academic programs.
UW is particularly known for its School of Energy Resources, Petroleum Engineering, Agriculture and Natural Resources, and College of Law (founded 1920).
