Yamanashi Gakuin University
Yamanashi Gakuin University (YGU) is a private university in Kofu, Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan, founded in 1946. Set in the foothills of Mount Fuji, YGU comprises five undergraduate faculties — Business, Law, Sports Science, International College of Liberal Arts (iCLA), and Health and Nutrition — plus a Graduate School of Social Sciences.
The International College of Liberal Arts (iCLA) is YGU's flagship English-medium undergraduate programme, offering a Bachelor of International Liberal Arts with six concentrations: Data Science, Global Business and Economics, Interdisciplinary Arts, Japan Studies, Political Science, and Psychology.
iCLA operates as an international living-learning community — the on-campus Global Village dormitory houses students from over 50 countries, and the curriculum is fully taught in English by an international faculty. Spring and Fall intakes (April and September) make iCLA one of the most flexible English-taught Bachelor's options in Japan.
